It’s always good to have a deadline! Now we do – Friday March 12th 2010 is now booked as our first test of the year, at Snetterton. We will be there the whole day, mostly to evaluate the new injection system and ECU, as well as to play with trumpet lengths and see how they feel on the circuit. As track time away from race meetings is scarce for us (lack of funds massively restricts our testing) we’ll also try to cram in a few more things to evaluate that should help us start the season with strong pace.
The new engine is ready to go back into the car, which will then need some wiring finishing off and installing before we can run the car as a unit again. With 6 weeks or so until the test day we are in a strong position to be ready in plenty of time (but whether or not we are depends on everything else running smoothly).
