This website documents and details the racing activities of our Dallara F398, driven by me (Tristan Cliffe). My father Martin is essentially the team manager and engineering manager. Together we run the car, rebuild the car, prepare the car and, if needed, repair the car at the family home. My brother Andrew is involved in the team, helping out in the paddock, and is also the official photographer of the club with which we race – the Monoposto Racing Club. His wife, Emma, is heavily involved in each race weekend, in charge of both accomodation and catering (tents and camping stoves usually), but also as a mechanic in the paddock and working on the pitwall with our timing screen and pitboard.
It’s a family run, family funded racing exercise, and the racing is very much ‘club’ level racing – we know we’re not going to be plucked into professional racing, and nor are we going to make a profit from doing it. But that doesn’t mean we don’t want to win, and it doesn’t mean the competition is any less intense on and off the track.
On this site you’ll find news, race reports, photos, videos and information about the racing season, updated when something worth writing about, be it an event in the preparation or a race meeting.
You may like to read our previous website, from when we ran a Reynard 883 from 2006 to 2008. This was originally www.reynard883.com, but has now been moved to reynard883.dallara398.com to preserve it. The Reynard gallery can now be found here. Neither site is currently being updated or upgraded, but all articles remain. Do let me know if something is broken though, and I’ll see if it can be fixed.
