Both the Monoposto Racing Club and MSV F3 Cup have announced their (provision) 2012 racing calenders now. I’ve combined the two below, and we’re pleased to see that no rounds clash with each other (i.e. same date, different circuits).
It’s a long old season though – 18 rounds for F3 Cup, and at the time of writing it’s not clear whether all or only ~16 rounds will count towards the final tally.
Here is a short video showing a simulated lap of the new Snetterton 300 circuit, from trackside and driver’s eye view. This video is NOT made by me. The lap is generated using the rFactor simulation, one of the worst modern ‘simulators’ in the world. Hence the appaulingly unrealistic driving lines and speeds (flat through T1, but braking in the Bombhole). However, it does show (as is its intention) the new layout. A fiddly bit that all looks the same (like Rockingham’s infield), and a rather interesting final corner – braking from high speed whilst turning and changing direction. Crashes ahoy!

Some great circuits, some fantastic corners, and a special non-championship round that I’m really looking forward to. 13 rounds from March to October, including a “Summer Break” in July.
